Harmony on a Plate - Meet Delores Diana and discover her culinary journey

I studied business and marketing and worked in this field for about 16 years, with 7 years as a freelancer. At the same time I have been following my curiosity into the holistic field. Out of personal interest and the knowing that all is energy and there is more beyond the physical. From my 26th I did several formations in intuitive development. In 2013 I moved to Spain, Ibiza with an open mind and a readiness to take guidance from my heart. Leaving behind my marketing career and looking forward to doing something new and inspiring on another level. With the wish to be outside in nature, zero screen time. Through this openness I met a raw chocolatier and vegan chef and embarked on a new career, that of a vegan cook. Now nearly 9 years. At the same time I continued to develop myself in the holistic field, leading to my own practice in Intuitive Mentoring and guidance, in which I work one-to-one with people and organise events around general life themes, intuitive development and feminine themes in specific, like womb wisdom explorations. Also, I am in a co-creation with a friend, in which we organise workshops and journeys for people who wish to live more purposefully from their essence. We call ourselves the Colibri Circle.

01

When did you start your career?

I do not feel I am set in one profession. Maybe as a child I dreamt about becoming an animal doctor, because of my love for animals. But I never had a clear vision of what my profession would be. I studied business because I was steered towards this from my parents. I feel my path is more in creating awareness around more holistic life themes. I feel that the red thread is bringing harmony and creating space for balance. My profession as a vegan cook and intuitive mentor are mere means to an end.

02

How did you choose your profession?

My creative flow starts from an inner stillness, although I may be physically active. This stillness is often heightened when I am in nature. And When i start to do something that I really enjoy, like writing, drawing, cooking and meditation.

03

Where do you find your creativity?

When it comes to food, I draw inspiration from trying new techniques and new ingredients. There are also some people who's creative vision I admire and follow on social media. And at the same time I have made a deliberate decision to keep on developing myself spiritually. Which basically is a path of freeing myself of negative patterns, imprints of conditioning (family, culture, society), making more space for living from the heart. More love, less fear. At the moment I am doing a formation in Sa'Sen Yin Reintegration Massage. A massage technique through which emotional blockages in the body are traced back to the root cause, so the awareness around the related theme is released and integrated, making room for new energy.

05

How do you stay motivated and inspired in your work?

All that I do is from a subtle drive to create a more balanced and harmonious environment. That is the red thread whether the people experience my food or presence in the kitchen or experience a session with me. And on a broader vision, I wish to inspire people to a more plant based, holistic lifestyle, which I feel can contribute to a more balanced and happy way of living.

06

How can you Help people with your mission?

04

Can you share your future goals?

I have lived in Ibiza since 2013. I always knew that I would not stay in the Netherlands, where I was born and raised. A more Mediterranean climate, a different pace of living and a different social climate than I have experienced before, led me to ibiza.

07

Why did you move to Ibiza?

Ibiza makes me feel at home, in the sense of a physical home as well as a sense of feeling at home in myself. Ibiza feels challenging at times, since life themes feel to be enlarged, which sometimes brings shadows to the surface.

08

Can you describe Ibiza?

Nowadays I think in small steps, with some dots on the horizon to work towards. I have learned that when I make plans that feel grand, I can feel overwhelmed, to a paralysing effect. Having said this, in May I will have my first intuitive cooking retreat. And I am working on a cookbook.

Playground is another word.

09

If you have a wish for Ibiza, what would this be?

"I wish to inspire people to a more plant based, holistic lifestyle, which I feel can contribute to a more balanced and happy way of living."
